Logo & Product Design

I was commissioned to design the 2019 Cross Cancer Institute’s Bike Jersey for the Ride to Cure Cancer. This was a prestigious honour and a rewarding challenge, I took part of this event in 2016 after a friend lost her battle to Cancer.

I wanted to create a jersey that would be both inspiring and functional, reflective of the Cross Cancer Institute’s mission and values, and comfortable for cyclists of all levels.

I began by researching the Cross Cancer Institute and its work. I learned about the institute’s commitment to excellence in cancer care and research, its dedication to its patients and their families, and its vision for a future without cancer.

In the end, I chose a design that featured a stylized ribbon, a symbol of hope and awareness for cancer research. The ribbon was incorporated into the Cross Cancer Institute’s logo, which was also featured on the jersey.

The jersey also featured the Alberta Health Service’s new branding strategy colors and mountain motif.

I was very pleased with the final design of the jersey. It was a perfect way to show support for the Cross Cancer Institute and the Ride to Cure Cancer, raising awareness for cancer research and supporting cancer patients and their families.
