Tacan Training offers premier First Aid Training right in the heart of Alberta. As a budding small business partnership, they sought assistance in crafting a fresh website, establishing branding, and gaining business insights for their venture.
Their vision was a sleek design, providing seamless online booking and informative course content, along with clear guidance on on-site training expectations. The priority was ensuring the website was primed for SEO, meticulously tailored for keyword optimization, and designed to deliver top-notch user experience.

Drawing from the client’s military background and Celtic heritage, I designed the logo by reimagining the ‘Bowen Knot’ and integrating the universally recognized heart symbol associated with First Aid and Healthcare.
By intertwining these two icons, the final design conveys a sense of security, with the Bowen Knot appearing to shield and protect the heart.
For the typography, I opted for ‘Gil Sans,’ a typeface historically used in wartime posters, to evoke a sense of strength and resilience.
Paired with ‘Roboto Slab,’ the overall aesthetic achieves a harmonious balance between tradition and modernity.
The color palette, inspired by Celtic greens and complementary blues, further enhances the brand’s identity, creating a cohesive style guide that reflects both the client’s heritage and the professional nature of their business.
